Job Description

• Gather, analyze, and clarify business requirements from clients, especially in the banking domain.
• Prepare business analysis documents, including BRD, FRD, Use Cases, User Stories, and Test Cases.
• Analyze current business processes (As-is) and propose improvement solutions.
• Perform impact analysis when system changes occur.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including Business teams, IT teams, QA teams, and Vendors.
• Support the QA team in clarifying requirements and validating test results.
• Participate in UAT, support end users, and handle arising issues.
• Be available to work onsite at client/bank locations when required.
• Play a key role in building and developing the internal BA team through training, guideline creation, and document reviews.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
• Experience leading a small team or training/coaching junior BAs.
• Hands-on experience working with Core Banking systems or financial systems.
• Candidates with banking domain experience are preferred.
• Experience participating in large-scale projects such as Core Banking transformation, ERP, MIS, or Data Warehouse projects is highly preferred.
• Experience working with overseas clients/partners is a plus.

Business Analysis Skills

• Strong ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Proficient in process modeling tools and techniques (BPMN, flowcharts, sequence diagrams).
• Experienced in writing BRD, FRD, and Test Cases.

Impact Analysis

• Ability to assess the impact of system changes on financial systems and data.
• Experience in data mapping analysis between systems.

Data & Tools

• Proficient in SQL for querying, validating, and analyzing data.
• Strong Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI or other BI tools is an advantage.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, including Business, IT, QA, and Vendors.
• Strong communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
• Capable of facilitating discussions and leading meetings.

Nice-to-have

• Good English communication skills.
• Japanese language proficiency is a strong advantage.
• Strong logical thinking, system mindset, and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure.
• Career orientation toward Lead BA or BA Manager positions.
