Newsletter is a mass publication about a topic of interest to subscribers. It is known as one of the most affordable and powerful marketing tools by spreading news regarding future promotions on your store that can attract more and more customers. Magento 2 gives you the opportunities to publish and distribute newsletters to customers who have already subscribed . It hasn’t full capabilities with template library, but completely free.

With Magento 2, you can create as many newsletter templates as you need for various purposes such as a weekly product update, a monthly newsletter, or annual holiday newsletter by a following simple process:

  • Step 1: Navigate to the Marketing > Newsletter

Template section from your main admin dashboard. Then, Click on the Add New Template button to proceed with the configuration of the template. Then you can find several required fields to fill in.

  • Step 2: Complate Templates Information.
  1. In the Template Name enter name for internal reference.
  2. In the Template Subject field, describe the purpose of the newsletter.
  3. In the Sender Name field , enter the name of the person who is to appear as the sender of the newsletter.
  4. In the Sender Email field, enter the email address of the newsletter sender.
  • Step 3: Design Template Contents

At the Template Content field, tap Show / Hide Editor to display the WYSIWYG editor. Then, update the content as needed.

This part it is basically up to you. You can write whatever you want to convey to your subscribers and add images. By default you have Follow this link to unsubscribe option. We advise you to keep it because sometimes subscribers get angry when they are receiving emails they cannot unsubscribe from. Besides, you can use Convert to Plain Text button to see how your message looks in Plain-text mode.

  • Step 4: Click Preview Templateto check what customer see your Newsletter.

After you have saved a template, a Save As button appears when you edit this template. You can use the Save As button in order to make changes and save it as a new template, without affecting the original. This can save your time because you will not need to re-enter all the template information in order to create a new template. If you already have an existing template that is similar to the new template, simply edit the fields that you require, and then use the Save As button to create a new template.

That’s all about how you can create a newsletter template in Magento 2. As you can see, you can finish the template before you know it. So, take a little time on it, you will not regret.
