MOU SIGNING CEREMONY WITH UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FACULTY
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony between the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Engineering and Technology – Vietnam National University (UET) and CO-WELL Asia was officially held in Hanoi on Sep 19th, 2016.
The MOU Signing Ceremony was solemnly held at the hall of building E, University of Engineering and Technology – Vietnam National University. Representing the Faculty of Information Technology were Associate Professor – Dr. Le Sy Vinh and Dr. Phan Xuan Hieu – respectively Dean and Vice Dean of the IT Faculty, Dr. Bui Ngoc Thang – Director of the Center for Applied Research and Business Cooperation and other lectures in the faculty. Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong – General Director of CO-WELL Asia and Mrs. Ogura Mamiko – Head of Human resources Department of CO-WELL Japan joined the event as CO-WELL Asia representatives.
CO-WELL Asia has always focused on Information Technology and Japanese education and training activities, especially for students in Hanoi and Danang universities. Faculty of Information Technology – UET was formerly Major of Computer Science – Faculty of Mathematics – Hanoi General University, with more than 50 years of experiences in Information Technology. Hundreds of IT engineers graduate from the Faculty of Information Technology – UET every year.
The MOU emphasizes that the co-operation between the Faculty of Information Technology and CO-WELL Asia will cover training, internships program, scholarships, technology development, and scientific research, etc. Dr. Le Sy Vinh shared information about training courses and the faculty’s orientation. Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong from CO-WELL Asia also expressed the willingness to support the faculty in many ways, especially those related to technology support and student orientation.
This is not CO-WELL Asia’s first collaboration with the Faculty of Information Technology – UET but it would be an important milestone for more thorough and sustainable collaboration in the future.
