In the last 3 days from 10th to 12th of March, the UET Hackathon 2017 contest organized by the Faculty of Information Technology and Youth Union of the University of Technology, sponsored by CO-WELL Asia and other corporations in IT field, has ended with flying colors.

UET Hackathon 2017 was a meaningful contest and a potential technology playground, for which CO-WELL Asia was more than proud to be one of the sponsors and a member of the jury.

Hackathon is a competition that has been organized around the world at different levels and scales, in which programmers, graphics and interface designers, and project managers will work together for a certain period of time to complete a software project.

Featuring the theme “Software applications on the mobile platform”, this year’s competition was organized as a challenging 42-hour marathon, bringing together passionate, creative and dedicated candidates from 30 teams. Besides the teams that come from 9 universities specialized in technology and engineering in Hanoi, such as Hanoi University of Technology, Post and Telecommunications Institution of Technology, FPT University , Military Technical Academy, …, this year’s competition also welcomed many teams with members who are both IT and non-IT students from schools such as Industrial Fine Arts University, Foreign Trade University, etc.

Based on the 3 criteria “helpfulness – perfection – creativity”, the jury has selected the best teams to receive attractive prizes up to more than 40 million VND, as below:

First Prize: Team Elliptic

Second Prize: Team FRIES

Third prize: reTRY team, Light Generation team

Best Idea Award: Half Bird Team, SoiBK team

UET Hackathon 2017 Contest ended with flying colors after 42 intensive hours of competing between participating teams. Having been paying attention to the development of the Vietnamese young generation in the field of Information Technology, CO-WELL would ceaselessly and continuously support meaningful IT playgrounds like Hackathon in the future.
